The Top 7 Nutrient Dense Beverages for the Mercury Toxic

High nutrient dense beverages that are very assimilable are an important part of my nutritional program for the mercury and heavy metal toxic. Following are the top 7 nutrient dense beverages which supply ample amounts of nutrients the heavy metal toxic need.

1. Meat, bone and vegetable broth

Meat, bone and vegetable broth is a staple high nutrient dense beverage. Depending on your level of toxicity and nutritional depletion, it is ideal to drink at least 2 cups of this broth daily. Making 2-3 batches weekly will not only supply you with healthy meat and vegetables for meals, but will keep you continuously stocked with this broth. For a potent bone broth, simmer the bones in the broth/water for 24-48 hours.

The nutritional and medicinal benefits of this bone broth is incredible. It is completely assimilable to the body’s cells. It is very alkalinizing, high in amino acids, minerals, collagen, gelatin, silica and many other nutrients. Collagen, gelatin and silica greatly enhance the body’s ability to repair cellular damage from the metals and the overgrowth of pathogens so common for the mercury toxic. It is also excellent for the bones, hair, skin, nails, arteries, heart, weak organs and intestinal lining.

 2. Raw vegetable juices

Raw vegetable juices are extremely assimilable, alkalinizing and are high in minerals, antioxidants, enzymes and other nutrients. Working up to drinking at least one 12 ounce glass of raw vegetable juice daily, simply put, will get you better quicker. I clearly see a noticeable improvement with my patient’s progress who drink a daily fresh veggie juice compared to those who don’t. The vitalizing and rejuvenating benefits of drinking raw vegetable juices are astounding.

Ideal vegetables to juice raw for the mercury poisoned are:

Cucumber: High in vitamins A, B and C and the minerals silicon, magnesium and potassium; lowers uric acid levels in the system, which is particularly helpful for the kidneys.

Celery: High in antioxidants, vitamin K and is a highly valuable source of luteolin, which can minimize brain inflammation and neurodegeneration and improve memory loss.

Purple cabbage: Wonderful for repairing the intestinal tract and is extremely high in antioxidants, which attach to toxin particles, preventing them from causing cellular damage as they travel through the body to exit via the stool, urine and skin. Antioxidants can greatly help prevent cellular breakdown and has an abundance of minerals and vitamins.

Zucchini and yellow squash: Contains significant amounts of magnesium, folate, vitamin A, potassium, phosphorus, zinc, niacin, B vitamins, a high amount of omega-3 fatty acids, and surprisingly, protein.

Lettuces: Includes red leaf, green leaf, bibb and romaine lettuce. Loaded with vitamins and minerals, lettuces consist of high amounts of calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorous, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, folate, B6, C, E, A and K.

Gradually work up the lettuce leaf content where about 25% of the juice is green from lettuces and 75% of the juice is a mixture of the other vegetables. Note that it is not ideal to juice dark leafy greens such as swiss chard, kale, turnip greens, collard greens and spinach, as they are high in oxalic acid when raw. Juicing them can give you too much. Also, because they are so highly concentrated in minerals, they may cause sensitivities or exacerbate symptoms for the moderate to severely mercury toxic. Minerals mobilize metals, so when you’re more heavy metal toxic, you need to be cautious consuming too many minerals too quickly.

Lastly, if you’re mercury toxic and not used to drinking raw vegetable juices, you don’t want to begin drinking a large glass, as it may likely cause you to cleanse too quickly. Begin drinking only a few ounces once daily, gradually working up to a larger juice. When it comes to being mercury toxic, you don’t want to make bodily changes too fast. Even good, desirable changes can backfire on you and exacerbate symptoms if you take it too quickly. Also, swish each swallow in your mouth a few seconds rather than gulping it down. You want to mix a little of your saliva with each swallow of any food or beverage.

3. Raw nut and seed milk

Raw nut and seed milk is extremely assimilable and jam packed with amino acids, healthy fats and ample amounts of vitamins and minerals. Raw nut milk is incredibly nourishing, supplying you with extraordinarily high amounts of the nutrients you need [as do each of these nutritional beverages]. Buying pasteurized store bought almond, cashew or hemp milk is by far, absolutely no comparison to making your own fresh, raw nut milk. It takes less than 5 minutes to make a batch of raw nut and seed milk and it lasts in the refrigerator about 3 days. If you make two batches a week, you’ll have enough to drink more than a cup of raw nut milk six days a week. I prefer a mixture of a few or more different nuts and seeds, such as almond, walnut, brazil nut, hazelnut, pecan, cashew, sunflower seeds, hemp, flax, chia, pumpkin and sesame seeds.

4. Raw milk kefir

I will start off by saying you do not need to drink raw milk kefir to fully recover! You can certainly accomplish your goals without it. But, you will accomplish your goals quicker by drinking a couple cups daily of raw milk kefir. The nutrition in raw milk kefir contains very assimilable amino acids, healthy fats, loads of probiotics and many nutrients. It also helps to restore a leaky gut condition.

Raw milk is usually only available at raw dairy farms. Raw milk kefir is raw milk that has been cultured with kefir grains (healthy good bacteria). The good bacteria added to the raw milk eats all the milk sugar and grows and multiplies, which in turn, makes the milk tart. Properly cultured with live kefir grains, raw milk kefir has hundreds of billions of good bacteria (probiotics). The best kefir grains I’ve ever seen and surprisingly, the least expensive are at: www.KefirLady.com

Raw milk is completely different than pasteurized and homogenized milk. Pasteurization heats milk to a very high temperature, which destroys all of the enzymes and damages the molecular structure of the milk, thereby making it hard to digest. The amino acids, nutrients and healthy fats are no longer able to be easily assimilated by the cells. This often causes sensitivities or allergies, congestion and lethargy, especially when accompanied with a compromised intestinal tract and immune system (i.e. leaky gut).

Millers Raw Dairy Farm, owned and run by an Amish organic farm in Pennsylvania delivers raw milk products to numerous locations throughout the United States. Their cows are not only “grass fed”, but “grass finished”, which means they are never given GMO soy or corn. Grass-fed cows are often artificially “fattened up” and fed GMO corn, grain or soy the last 3 months to a year of their life.

You can also google search “raw milk” to find other local dairy farms in your area. If you are concerned about the safety of drinking raw milk products or want to learn more about the amazing nutritional value and healing benefits of raw milk kefir, following are a few excellent sources:

5. Horsetail and Oatstraw Tea

Horsetail and oatstraw are herbs which are extremely high in silica, an essential mineral, as well as many other nutrients. Silica is considered one of the most nutritional and restorative food components on the planet, as it repairs and rebuilds damaged tissue. It is particularly fortifying for the intestinal tract and immune system, hair, skin and nails, lungs, muscle tissue, including the heart and forms structural components of bone and connective tissue such as cartilage, ligaments and collagen.

Silica is also excellent at removing heavy metals and other toxins from the body. A study¹ in 2013 demonstrated that silica may play a significant part in the removal of aluminum with Alzheimer’s patients.

6. Stinging Nettle and Alfalfa Tea

Nettle and alfalfa are herbs that are extremely high in minerals, as well as vitamins A, C, protein and iron. The mercury toxic get significant mineral deficiencies, as mercury binds to minerals like a magnet, robbing them from the body’s cells. Nettle and alfalfa tea are particularly helpful for the kidneys, prostate and urinary tract, bone, skin and helps control blood sugar levels. Stinging nettle and alfalfa have powerful anti-inflammatory qualities and reduce allergic responses.

7. Raw fermented coconut water from young Thai coconuts

Raw fermented coconut water is considered a super food. It is very alkalizing and high in live enzymes, amino acids and various minerals and nutrients, as well as healthy oils and probiotics. If you’re up for the task of opening these coconuts and fermenting the coconut water yourself, you can usually order the coconuts at most health food stores in cases of 9 coconuts. Some amazing raw fermented coconut water is also available by Body Ecology at www.BodyEcology.com. Some health food stores will special order it upon request.
